We now return to your regularly scheduled blogging! Did you have a good Christmas? I never thought I'd say this, but it feels kind of weird to be on my computer again. My mini vacation stretched out a little longer than I planned, but after rushing orders out the door and having a three-day holiday extravaganza with both sides of the family, I felt like I just needed a day. I read an entire book, didn't get dressed until early afternoon, and only ate leftovers. And then I finally found a new camera. Boo ya.
But today there are things that actually need to be done (I bet the people at the post office miss me). So in the spirit of easing myself back into sparkly bead mode, here's some outfit inspiration for New Year's Eve:
Hubsey and I are going to a party at a friend's house, so I don't need to bother with a dress, but I still want something fun. Most of these items are under $50, but I accidentally forgot to filter myself while I was looking for a shirt... and that one is $245. Whoops! Too much for a piece I'll only wear a couple of times a year, so obviously that one won't be happening. Other outfit deets and links are over on Polyvore.
So what have you been up to since I last blogged 8 days ago? How was Christmas? Did you get anything awesome? (I'll have a post about that in a couple of days.) Are you getting ready for New Year's yet?

Love the outfit! We're having people over - should be a cozy little New Years Eve and my brother is flying home that night too! I think I may borrow this idea!
ReplyDeleteI got light fixtures for the exterior of the house from hubby - they make me so happy! And new sheets to start out Master Bedroom update which we've decided to make our Valentines gift to each other.
My Christmas was really nice. We stayed local so we didn't have to travel far. We also got a slow-cooker which I'm dying to try out. I gotta look for some recipes. My bf & I have a New Year's Eve tradition that we go to a certain restaurant for dinner so that's what we'll be doing this year. Gonna see if any friends wanna join us this time. We're home bodies and most of our friends have families or are already asleep by midnight so no party for us.
ReplyDeleteI used my Christmas gift cards to find a New Years outfit yesterday, and this is almost exactly what I had in mind. I ended up with a green and black dress, but so it goes... I got my very first DSLR from my boyfriend so I know it's exciting to have a new camera to play around with! Hope you have a great New Years! <3

ReplyDeleteI love those earrings. My Christmas was busy but great. Everyone came to stay with us for 4 days! We went ice skating and made food and had a bunch of fun. no fights broke out and everyone had a great time. I call it a success.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to reality! I'm coming out of a holiday/stomach flu haze myself, trying to get back to work and simultaneously repairing to fly to Atlanta for 5 days. Eeks. This time of year takes it out of you. Love your NYE pics! I'm actually on my way out the door right now to try to quickly find a dress before I board my flight in a few hours. Yikes. xo
ReplyDeleteI had a little blogging break too - its so hot in Sydney so Im wearing a tank style maxi dress to my sister in laws house - she's hosting NYE tonight for the family - we'll eat and drink, listen to music, chat and play cards until the wee hours of the morning! Its also my birthday New Years Day so double the fun!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your loved ones a Happy New year!
